Weekend Activities in Plainfield - Join Us!

As October comes to a close, I will be participating in several activities on this final weekend. On Saturday, 10/29, I will be at this weekend's "Operation Clean the Queen" Community Cleanup, which starts at 9:00 am, at Plainfield Avenue and 7th Street in the 3rd Ward.

After that, I'll head over to the Plainfield Division of Parks and Recreation's "Doggy Howl," the dog costume contest, which is scheduled for 12:00-1:00 pm in the City Hall parking lot, located behind 515 Watchung Avenue. Parks and Recreation encourages folks to bring some pet food for donation to the Plainfield Area Humane Society.

Later, I will be on the campaign trail, working with the Democratic Party as we make phone calls and canvass across Plainfield on behalf of the Democratic ticket, from Hillary Clinton all the way to our local campaign, with Charles and me up for election to the city council. Please join us as we make "herstory" with the first woman president! Come down to Plainfield Democratic Headquarters, located at 31 Watchung Avenue, next to Antojito's Restaurant (and the municipal lot) to make calls or help us distribute campaign literature. We're a nice bunch, and we have good coffee! Call Ron at 908-205-8984, or just come on down after 12:00 noon.

Finally, on Monday, October 31--Halloween--we'll have fun with "Halloween Trunk or Treat," with cars decorated for Halloween and filled with treats for our children. If you want to participate in "Trunk or Treat" by decorating your car, contact Recreation at (908) 753-3097. Click on the images below and print them out--we look forward to seeing you there!
